Believe me if I could help you I would
If I could reach into your ill-wrought
oft-sought soul
and extract the many mouthed
black toothless thing that eats at your insides

I would

like St.George striking a killing blow to some monsterous dragon,

I would
all holy and self fulfilled
in the knowledge that what I do
I do to make you greater
and freed from the evil grip of that loathesome thing
that you have fostered all these years
due to a drunk father and an indifferent mother.
You see...
I love you
NOT because you are special to me but
because in you I see buddha.
In you I see jesus,
in you I hear Lao Tzu struggling
against manicles, gags and chains, in you
I feel the warmth of Vishnu,
the fire of Ra
the strength of Horus
the wisdom of Math.
I love you because in your pure state you are my god
                  as I am yours
as we are theirs
as they are ours.
If I could lift my hand like a mighty weapon, blot the sun
                   and come down through you
cleaving the dark from the light so as to make visible
that wretched whelp of an abomination
which confuses the two, I would; but
I cant. I can only see its eyes blink with clear membranes
as it readies for war, I
can only see its sucker mouth purs
and smack as it slops its way through your core, I
can only see its sharp pointy tendrils slip off your tongue
        like quicksilver and vomit, I
can only sing to drown out its laughter.
So....
did Father make this monster?
Did mother cuddle it at her tit?
Did rape, betrayal, beatings and love-sour leave it reaching
like tall grass to the sun? No.
No and you know it.
                      It was you.

You fear too much.
You hide within yourself like a china doll
                 inverting into a moebius strip.
You are weak and buckle terminally, so.
       For you Buddha,
    for you Jesus,
for you Lao Tzu

        I weep.

It is such a wretched hollowness to see one who is loved in a state of collapse that you cannot assist in the restructuring from. Therein you can see the scar forming badly and it sickens the deepest parts of your soul.

I love all Humans for their potential is that grand, but every day I see their addictions and decay- I see them shudder and stumble off the path to their potentials... this is a poem to them.

Without light, darkness can’t exist, the greater the light, the greater the shadow. The same goes in reverse, without evil there can be no good, so we should be thankful we have pain in our lives, for without that pain we could not appreciate the love.

"You fear too much. " Fear is what drives us, binds us, and makes artists like Marilyn Manson sell a crapload of albums. FEAR. The one thing that makes the USA government kill without anygiven reason but FEAR.

(by the way, please do check out my latest poem, feelings.)

:) Saul Goode- Lao Tzu was the formator of what became Taoism. 2000 bc he was saying things like "Conduct your wars like a funeral procession" (because there is no joy in killing and it should only be delt with somberly- NOT like the US population has handled its recent ill founded unwarranted BS) 4000 years later and we still havent applied much of what he said. I highly suggest the Tao Te Ching, even if you dont give a rats ass about Taoism- there is real good philisophical points in there and the form is nice: all poetry.

He is a hero of mine. He fled China when he saw the potentials of his teachings turning into a religion- mainly because he and Confucius used to go toe-to-toe on a regular basis over religion and philosophy which was causing people to be Confucian or Taoists (Tao= "the way"). Obviously his fleeing didnt work, we have Taoist exorcists nowadays- BUT ONLY because a gate guard at The Wall begged him to leave some of his writings behind. Lao left 60 some poems and bailed- thus we have the TaoTeChing and THE RELIGION of Taoism....

A thought: 2000bc Lao bemoans "the wisdoms lost of the great anchient masters"... considering him, and his masterly state, WTF was he refering to? That is a thing that makes me wonder.

You make my point stronger. Its a harsh harsh truth to see so many prefer cattle treatment to a little risk of pain for shot at greatness-of-their-own-making....

Fear is the key to all of our problems, I think. Or atleast a big part.
